Itinerary
Arrival at Palermo airport and meeting with our driver and transfer to the hotel. Arrival at the hotel and rest of the day free. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure to Monreale to visit the Cathedral and its cloister. Return to Palermo and break for lunch. After lunch we will continue with a panoramic tour visiting its main attractions, such as the Palatine Chapel and the Cathedral. End of the guided tour and rest of the day at leisure. Hotel accommodation.
After breakfast, departure to Segesta to visit the Doric Temple, which stands out not only for its unique architecture, but also for the wonderful landscape that surrounds it. Continue to the Selinunte area to visit the archaeological area. Lunch break. Continuation to Agrigento, called by the Greeks “the most beautiful city of mortals”, where ten Doric temples can still be enjoyed. Guided tour of the “Valley of the Temples”. Overnight at the hotel.

Departure to Piazza Armerina to visit the splendid Villa Romana del Casale, an old and luxurious residence located in the heart of Sicily, an important example of the Roman era and where you can admire the precious mosaics that represented the uses and customs of that time. Lunch break. Then, we will continue to Catania, an important city on the eastern coast, characterized by its volcanic stone constructions. Panoramic walking tour of this beautiful city. Breakfast at the hotel.Early in the morning, departure towards Syracuse, the largest city of antiquity, founded between 734-733 BC. Named by the Greeks of Syraka, the city stretches by the sea, near the island of Ortigia and is connected to the mainland by a bridge. offering visitors evidence of its glorious past, such as the Temple di Minerva – transformed into a Christian church -, the legendary Fontana di Arethusa, the Temple di Apollo, the Greek Theater and the Roman Amphitheater, located near Latomie, Orecchio di Dionisio. Lunch break. Continue to Noto to visit the capital of Sicilian Baroque, where after several years of restoration, it is possible to admire the renovated cathedral. Continue towards Catania. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on the weather conditions, departure to the fantastic Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in continental Europe, with 3,345 meters above sea level. We will ascend to 1,800 meters of altitude, in the Sapienza Refuge, where it will be possible to visit inactive craters, also called “Crateri Silvestri”. On the way, contemplation of the varied flora and the incredible lunar-like landscapes. For centuries, the volcano has created a place where nature, culture and history have come together to form a unique landscape. Lunch break. Then continue to Taormina, located on the picturesque Mount Tauro, 204 meters above sea level. Guided tour to discover and visit the famous Greek Theater, from where you can enjoy one of the best views of the Etna volcano and the Ionian Sea. Return to Catania to stay.
Departure for Messina for a panoramic tour of this fascinating city, which offers a beautiful view over the strait that separates Sicily from the mainland. Continue towards Cefalù. Lunch break. Cefalù is a charming seaside town that presents its visitors with an impressive artistic display of lights and colors. Free time to stroll through its narrow streets on your own, bathed in a medieval atmosphere and occupied by several jewelers and elegant shops. The charming “Cattedrale Normanna”, whose construction dates back to 1131, and the “Lavatoio Medievale” are not to be missed. Then transfer to the hotel in Palermo to stay at the hotel.
