Baroque Rome: Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Navona Square
Itinerary
4h Baroque Rome tour: Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Navona Square
Starting from Piazza di Spagna, characterized by the famous Barcaccia fountain and the Spanish Steps that lead to the Church of Trinità dei Monti. An elegant area full of boutiques that represent national and international luxury.
Visit the Trevi Fountain, a monumental demonstration of the ancient Virgin aqueduct, famous not only for its crystal clear water but also for the legend that invites us to face our backs to the fountain and toss a coin over our shoulder to ensure our return to Rome.
We continue to the Piazza della Rotonda where the imposing Pantheon stands, another baroque masterpiece of the eternal city.
The visit ends in Piazza Navona, this square occupies the place of the old Stadium of Domitian (the “Agonal Circus”) that perfectly preserves the rectangular shape of the arena. Piazza Navona (along with Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers, the great Pamphili Palace and the beautiful Church of Santa Agnes) represents the true essence of Roman Baroque.
